About Us
Learning comes alive in our innovative, hands-on program focused on developing an entrepreneurial mindset and understanding the economy. Since opening in 2011, we have inspired hundreds of students from the Greater Pittsburgh region.
Influencers & Initiators
Entrepreneurship education leads to real-world results as our young, business-minded learners put their ideas into action. Students present their unique ideas in the "Soaring Shark Tank" pitch competition and produce goods and services sold through our Soarmania student-run metropolis.

Real-World Learning
We are proud to have been the first MicroSociety school to open with Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students. As we grew to serve grades K-8, we have been recognized as a 4-STAR MicroSociety school, the highest distinction a MicroSociety school can achieve.
Strong to the Core
Aligned to Pennsylvania Common Core Standards, our English language arts, math, science, and social studies curriculum incorporates economic and entrepreneurial concepts.

Business savvy - but that's not all! We round out the learning experience with all the "extras!" PHCSE offers soccer, basketball, volleyball, bowling, a variety of clubs, the National Junior Honor Society, Student Government Association, and more!

I absolutely love this school and my children are thriving here. There are so many life skills taught here that I wish were taught at all schools. The kids have to pay taxes “out of fake school currency”, apply and interview for jobs, put together business plans, and how to run their business.
