PATHWAYS FOR LIFELONG SUCCESS

Entrepreneurship Education

Learning is exciting and relevant when students apply what they learn in the classroom to real life. From kindergarten through 8th grade, students are supported to build an entrepreneurial mindset as they develop innovative ideas, write business plans, pitch in the Soaring Shark Tank, and bring their ideas to a final product on offer in our Soarmania student-run metropolis.

A Mirror of Real Life

What if school operated like a functioning miniature society?

What if it taught life skills and individual responsibility and

fired up intrinsic motivation?

We've done exactly that!

The PHCSE MicroSociety program offers opportunities for  students to create, govern, and operate their own world inside the school.

 Elected Officials

& Judges

Our elected Student Officials establish the "laws" that govern our society, and Student Judges arbitrate disputes.

Reporter

There are plenty of interesting stories for our Student Reporters to track down and cover in the PHCSE society of inventors and innovators.

Banks & Currency

All citizens earn "inventive currency" wages, invest in product ideas, deposit and borrow money from “inventive” banks, and pay taxes, tuition, and rent.

Crime Stoppers

Citizens relax and enjoy life in our mini-society because they know our Student Crime Stoppers are on the job to keep the peace.

What people are saying about Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship

★★★★★

LaTesha Richard

I have had nothing but great experiences when it comes to PHCSE. Everyone I’ve come in contact with has helped when needed and informed me of the necessary things regarding my children. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for an alternative to traditional public school.

★★★★★

Parent

I absolutely love this school and my children are thriving here. There are so many life skills taught here that I wish were taught at all schools. The kids have to pay taxes “out of fake school currency”, apply and interview for jobs, put together business plans, and how to run their business.

★★★★★

Stacey AKines

Best school in Penn Hills and East area. Small teacher to student ratio. The focus is on education with high ethical and community standards. The staff encourages my student to resolve issues through kindness and compromise-No bullying tolerated!
